Marge Gower was born and lives in Auburn, New York. She lives in her home with her French bulldog mix, Bugg. Marge is the oldest girl with four siblings. She has two girls Colleen and Carrie. Colleen has two children Nicole (9) and Joshua (6). Carrie and her husband, Kurt have a daughter, Helen who turned 3 this December.
Marge received a degree from Institute of Children’s Literature. In 2003, at the age of 57, she enrolled Cayuga Community College. She minored in English and writing, but earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2005. Marge worked as a para professional, as an aide for children with special needs.
Marge retired in June 2012 and writes children’s stories, devotionals, magazine articles, and assorted manuscript projects. She has had three devotionals published in “Devozine” a devotional magazine for teens, two anthology pieces in Chicken Soup for the Soul and one in “Love is a Verb”.
She enjoys bird watching and plants gardens to attract hummingbirds and butterflies. She also grows her own tomatoes and peppers in the summertime. One of her favorite hobbies is photographing nature. She snaps photos of the wildlife that visit her back yard, at nature centers, and walking trails.
